About CTG Medical
CTG Medical is a family-run, non-emergency medical transportation company based in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Since 1983 we’ve safely moved patients to appointments, between facilities, home from hospital, and across long distances — including across the Canada–U.S. border. Our focus is compassionate, patient-centred care on every trip.
It’s safe, professional transport for people who aren’t in a 911 emergency but can’t easily travel in a regular car — for example, someone using a wheelchair or stretcher, recovering from surgery, or needing supervision and medical support during the trip. Our crews and vehicles are equipped to keep patients comfortable and cared for from door to door.
No — we are a nonemergency service. If you are facing a medical emergency, always call 911 first. Once a patient is stable, that’s where we come in: discharges, transfers, appointments, and planned long-distance moves.
Since 1983 — more than four decades serving patients and families across Ontario.
Yes. CTG Medical is fully licensed and insured, and our team upholds rigorous standards of safety and care.
Our Services
• Ambulatory — for patients who can walk with little or no help
• Wheelchair — wheelchair-accessible vehicles with trained attendants
• Stretcher — for patients who need to travel lying down
• Air / flight escort — medical escorts for commercial flights, and air ambulance options for longer or
more complex journeys
A wide range — hospital discharges, seniors needing regular
check-ups, and patients travelling for dialysis, chemotherapy, or other ongoing treatment, as well as long-term
care and nursing-home transfers, hospice transport, bariatric transport, and more. If you’re not sure whether
we can help, just call — we’ll tell you honestly.
Yes — this is one of our specialties. We regularly arrange long-distance transfers between Ontario and other provinces, and across the border between Canada and the United States (for example, bringing a loved one home to Canada from Florida). We manage the full logistics and coordinate with the receiving hospital or facility so admission is ready on arrival.
Yes. Depending on the patient’s condition and distance, we can arrange a medical escort to accompany a patient on a commercial flight, or a dedicated air ambulance. We’ll walk you through which option fits best.
We operate depots in Niagara and Hamilton, and regularly serve Niagara, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, Toronto, and Oshawa. We also provide long-distance transportation anywhere in Ontario and Quebec, including cross-border medical transportation into the United States — as far as Florida.
Booking, Cost & Logistics
Call or text us anytime at 1-800-650-5035, or request a free, no-obligation quote through our website. Our care representatives are available 24/7 to arrange urgent or future transports.
Yes — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You never know when you’ll need us, so someone is always reachable.
Every trip is quoted individually, because cost depends on the type of transport, the distance, and any extra services needed. All clients pay a base rate, and there may be additional charges for things like mileage and oxygen use, which is standard in the industry. We provide free, no-obligation quotes so you’ll know the price before you commit.
As early as you can — it helps us plan the right crew and vehicle, especially for long-distance and cross-border trips. That said, we also offer same-day medical transport when time is short, so call us and we’ll do our best to help.
Often, yes — it depends on the patient’s condition and the type of vehicle used. Let us know when you book and we’ll tell you what’s possible for your trip.
Please have the patient (or their guardian/assistant) carry any required medications and medical reports. We recommend keeping luggage to a minimum so the patient stays comfortable during the trip. We’ll gather the medical and travel details ahead of time so the vehicle is properly equipped.
Yes. We handle the logistics behind the scenes and communicate with receiving hospitals and facilities to help ensure a smooth, prompt hand-off when the patient arrives.
Payment & Insurance
Coverage varies from one insurance carrier and policy to another. We recommend contacting your insurance carrier to verify your coverage before booking a service, so there are no surprises.
Any direct-bill arrangements — such as through WSIB, ODSP, or Veterans Affairs — must be approved directly with the agency in advance. Once that approval is in place, we’re glad to work with you on the transport.
Still have questions?
We’re here to help, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — with free, no-obligation quotes and answers to anything
not covered above.
